Megaman's position on the industry Phosphor increase

Megaman would like to communicate our position on the phosphor price increase which you may have heard about, and how it is affecting the whole of the lighting industry. The effect on the global market has been due to 14 Chinese mines being nationalised which has dramatically increased the price over the last 8 weeks or so.

Megaman has always sourced its phosphor from a well established, reputable supplier and due to our strong global supply chain we have secured significant phosphor stocks (notwithstanding our substantial UK stock holding). I am writing to assure you that we are holding our prices until 31st December 2011, unlike our competitors for the majority of our products. Please be assured that we are doing everything in our power to try not to let the phosphor issue become a problem for our customers.
