Megaman's Ping Pong and GU10 energy saving lamps have been used throughout the Future Inn in Bristol to meet with the company's stringent criteria on energy savings, whilst providing the required lighting levels. The hotel is expected to achieve an estimated annual energy saving of 10075kW and 4.3 tons of carbon following the installation of the new lamps, in line with Future Inns energy reduction policy.
The hotel is situated next to Cabot Circus, Bristol's new 500 million pound shopping complex with over one million sq ft of some of the finest shops and restaurants in the area. Although the Future Inn's chain is very eco-friendly, using energy saving lighting where possible, the hotel's maintenance team were unable to find energy saving lamps to fit into the existing bedroom fittings, which included fixed wardrobe units where space was extremely limited. Contacting local electrical supplier Edmundsons, the maintenance team were introduced to the Megaman range and the Ping Pong and GU10 lamps provided the solution.
